Our office has received a bill from Louisiana Tax Free Shopping; what are we getting billed for?
$100.00 Charge
Louisiana Tax Free Shopping is a tourism incentive program unique to Louisiana. The program allows for international visitors to receive a tax-refund for purchases made while visiting Louisiana. In order for the store to be a member, they must pay a $100.00 annual membership fee.
$5.50 Charge
The member store, in order to participate in the program, issues Tax-Free vouchers to the customer, attached to the sales receipt(s). Voucher books are purchased from Louisiana Tax Free Shopping at a charge of $5.50 per book of 25 vouchers.
Why was our payment returned stating an incorrect address for Louisiana Tax Free Shopping?
Louisiana Tax Free Shopping has moved our Administrative Office to a new location, we are no longer located in the World Trade Center on Canal Street. Our new information is:
Is the store required to participate in this Program?
Participation in the Louisiana Tax Free Shopping Program is optional, unless your store is located in a “Tax Free Zone." A Tax Free Zone is a mall or specified shopping area, where every store is required to participate in the Program.

- Riverwalk Marketplace – New Orleans, Louisiana
- Canal Place – New Orleans, Louisiana
- French Market – New Orleans, Louisiana
- Jax Brewery – New Orleans, Louisiana
- Lakeside Shopping Center – Metairie, Louisiana
- Clearview Mall – Metairie, Louisiana
- Esplanade Mall – Kenner, Louisiana
- Louisiana Boardwalk – Shreveport, Louisiana
- Tanger Factory Outlet – Gonzales, Louisiana
